Chef Steven Carbajo’s culinary journey began at just 15 years old, and since then, his dedication to the craft has only deepened. A graduate of South Seattle College’s esteemed culinary program, Steven balanced his education while working high above the city at the prestigious Columbia Tower Club — gaining hands-on experience, mastering refined techniques, and developing the discipline and creativity that define his cooking today.
Returning to his hometown in the Tri-Cities, Steven spent five years honing his skills at the award-winning Tagaris Winery, where he developed a deep appreciation for regional flavors and seasonal cooking. His passion and leadership later brought him to the Tsunami Catering team, where he quickly rose from sous chef to executive chef under the mentorship of owners Kyle and Becky Thornhill — known for their commitment to the community and connection through food.
Beyond the kitchen, Steven is a world traveler and culinary adventurer, drawing inspiration from global cuisines and cultures to bring fresh, bold flavors to his menus. Whether leading a team, designing innovative dishes, or connecting with the community through food, Steven brings heart, curiosity, and excellence to every plate.
